AVEX
DESIGN & MANUFACTURING

Cabin design meets OEM-grade production.

AVEX develops each module from concept sketch through aerospace-grade certification. Our cabins drop into certified AV platforms without drivetrain modification — built to airline standards, delivered on vehicle timelines.

CRAFT BLUEPRINT

Where craft begins.

Every module starts as a blueprint reviewed by OEM chassis engineers, interior designers, and FMVSS/ECE certification specialists. Form follows function follows safety — in that exact order.

Designed in-house by automotive and product design teams in Detroit
Co-developed with OEM structural and safety engineers per platform spec
Every surface and fastener meets or exceeds FMVSS 201/202 requirements

PROCESS — CONCEPT TO CERTIFICATION

From sketch to swap-ready module.

PHASE 01
Concept design
Experience brief and module program defined. Interior concept and technical package produced jointly by AVEX and OEM design teams.
PHASE 02
Engineering & validation
Structural analysis, dynamic simulation, crash and fire load cases. Iterative revision against FMVSS, ECE, and OEM chassis interface specs.
PHASE 03
Prototype build
Full-scale prototype fabricated at AVEX Detroit facility. Integrated into OEM test vehicle for dynamic and occupant safety evaluation.
PHASE 04
Certification
Third-party homologation testing and agency submission. OEM type-approval update covers module variants under single program umbrella.
PHASE 05
Series production
Tier-1 supply chain integrated into OEM assembly sequence. AVEX quality team embedded at plant for launch and steady-state monitoring.
PHASE 06
Fleet deployment
Modules shipped to operator depots. Swap and reconditioning performed between routes. AVEX field technicians maintain SLA <4h swap time.
MATERIALS — SPECIFICATION GRADE

Aircraft-grade materials. Automotive-grade durability.

Structural frame
6061-T6 aerospace aluminium extrusion. Finite-element optimised for side-impact and rollover load paths.
Interior shell
CFRP monocoque panels with Class-A mould-in finish. FAR 25.853 fire-rated foam core between CFRP skins.
Upholstery
Italian full-grain leather, wool-blend acoustic batt, and oak veneer from certified sustainably managed forests. All textiles OEKO-TEX 100.
Glazing
Laminated electrochromic glass with variable tint (0–70% VLT), UV block to 99.9%, and acoustic PVB interlayer for <28 dB cabin noise at highway speed.
Floor
Bamboo-backed porcelain tile or wide-plank engineered hardwood. Anti-vibration floating sub-floor decoupled from chassis with proprietary elastomeric mounts.
Electrical
48V cabin bus with isolated CAN gateway to vehicle network. AVEX module controller handles HVAC, lighting, door, and entertainment — no OEM software changes required.
