HOW IT WORKS — THE SWAP CYCLE

Route ends. Module swaps. Next route begins.

STEP 01
Route booked
Passenger books an experience type (e.g., Suite — SFO→LAX). Depot assigns a matching module from fleet inventory.
STEP 02
Module loaded
Certified AVEX module lowered onto OEM chassis via depot gantry. Four-point mount locks. Electrical handshake verified. Total time: <4 hours.
STEP 03
Route runs
Passenger boards. AVEX module controller manages cabin HVAC, entertainment, and service independently of the OEM drive stack.
STEP 04
Module reconditioned
After route, module returns to depot. AVEX team reconditions, restocks, and re-certifies ready for next assignment. Module lifespan: 32 months.

Built to integrate, not to compromise.

INTERFACE
Universal mount
Four-point structural mount to OEM chassis rails. No drivetrain modification. Single electrical harness handoff at rear firewall.
ELECTRICAL
48V isolated bus
Isolated 48V DC bus with isolated CAN gateway to vehicle. AVEX controller handles all cabin systems; OEM software unchanged.
HVAC
Module-independent
Self-contained cabin HVAC with HEPA-H13 filtration. Operates from module 48V bus or optional OEM HVAC integration port.
CONNECTIVITY
Dedicated 5G + Wi-Fi 7
Module-mounted 5G modem and Wi-Fi 7 AP. Dedicated backhaul separate from OEM telematics. <20ms latency target in covered corridors.

Fits Class 3–5 AV platforms. Gross module weight 1,840 kg (unladen). Ceiling height 1,980 mm.
CERTIFICATION
FMVSS · ECE · OEM type
Each module variant is individually certified under FMVSS 201, 202, 207–210, and 302. ECE R17 / R21 / R26 compliant for international corridors.
OEM INTEGRATION

Engineered for the platforms already in production.

AVEX's integration framework supports any long-wheelbase AV platform. Our engineering team works directly with OEM chassis engineers during vehicle programme to define the mount interface, electrical gateway, and type-approval path. Integration adds no programme risk.

Engineering toolkit
CAD package, mount interface spec, electrical gateway harness, and AVEX integration engineer embedded in OEM programme team during development.
CERTIFICATION SUPPORT
Type-approval umbrella
AVEX manages all module-level certification. OEM updates vehicle type approval to include module variants under existing programme umbrella — no separate vehicle cert required.
DEPOT OPERATIONS
Turn-key swap facility
AVEX designs and equips depot swap bays as part of partner programme. Staff training, tooling, and swap SLA covered under module lease agreement.
